Vladimír Spousta: The structure and function of ethopaedic diagnosis (abs-tract)
Ethopaedic diagnosis is presented as the result of the recognition and evaluation of the biological-physiological, psychologi-cal and sociál dimensions of the personality of the subject diagnosed, considered with regard to specificities of age and individuality. The most valuable part of the diagnosis is formed by the pedagogical prognosis, without which the diagnosis loses its purpose and most intrinsic function. Elaboration of a detailed, complex and objective diagnosis is possible only on the basis of a systematically-arranged structure. The author divides this into ten sections: 1) personál data, 2) biosomatic and physiological nature, 3) intellectual disposition, 4) level of voluntary effort, 5) emotional sphere, 6) moral profile, 7) sociál character, 8) work profile, 9) field of interests, 10) abstract and prognosis.
The areas structured in greatest detail are those of the moral quality of the sub-ject and his sociál character, which significantly condition the degree of successful reeducation and resocialization. Since ethopaedic diagnosis, besides its basic diagnostic function, fulfills as well control, regulátory, motivational, informational and resocializing functions, it significantly influences by its evaluation the psychological condition and sociál attitudes of the subject, and thus contributes to the complex constitution of his personality. |
